Safety Advisers
Risk Management Solutions fulfil the role of Competent Health and Safety Advisers in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Within the role of Safety Advisers we provide the following services:
- Interpret new safety legislation or changes in existing legislation.
- Obtaining copies of the legislation and any codes of practice for issue to Senior Management.
- Provide or arrange safety training for all levels of employees.
- Carry out site safety inspections and audits to ensure that only safe and healthy methods of work are in operation and that all regulations are being complied with.
- Keep contact with official and professional bodies e.g. HSE, Local Authorities, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, British Safety Council and local Health and Safety Groups etc.
- Inform the HSE / EHO of all reportable accidents. Investigate reportable accidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend means of preventing reoccurrence.
- Supervise the recording and analysis of information on injuries and ill health, assess accident trends and review overall safety performance.
- Encourage, within Client Companies, an understanding that injury prevention and good occupational health and hygiene are an integral part of successful business and operational efficiency.
- Attend any safety-related meetings as requested on behalf of Client Companies
- Provide Competent Health and Safety Advice and Assistance, also to uphold the confidentiality of Client Companies and not to divulge any privileged information to third parties.
